Trent Yang is a recognized leader in the renewable energy space, having been an investor, entrepreneur, and executive in the sustainability industry since 2006. From January 2020 to April 2025, he was the Co-Founder and President of Galway Sustainable Capital, where he co-managed the business and oversaw the investment team, raising nearly $700 million of institutional capital from Macquarie Asset Management, OakTree, and Aware Super.

Trent has helped grow several billion-dollar sustainability platforms, including Generate Capital, Galway Sustainable Capital, and Lightning eMotors. His experience spans renewable energy & storage, green buildings, data centers, mobility, sustainable agriculture, and advanced recycling. He also serves on multiple non-profit boards and holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Colorado and multiple M.S. degrees from MIT.
